Utility All Rounder – FIFO (Townsville & Cairns)

About the role

Cater Care is seeking motivated Utility All‑Rounders for FIFO positions based in Cairns and Townsville. You will support multiple departments – housekeeping, kitchen, bar and mine‑site cleaning – ensuring safe, clean and efficient environments for staff and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and clear dining areas, including table service and stock replenishment.
• Operate dishwashing machines and keep kitchen facilities, utensils and dining spaces hygienic.
• Follow legislated food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist during high‑demand periods with friendly, efficient service.
• Prepare and serve texture‑modified meals according to dietary requirements.
• Perform housekeeping duties: clean guest rooms, make beds, manage waste and maintain communal areas.
• Carry out general cleaning of site offices, crib huts and bathhouses on mine sites.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in utility, cleaning, housekeeping or kitchen support roles.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident with a valid driver’s licence.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
• Willingness to obtain police clearance and complete a pre‑employment medical assessment.
