Survey Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Survey Assistant to support our team of skilled surveyors on a variety of civil construction projects across the Fraser Coast. You will work on subdivisions, infrastructure, community projects and roadworks, helping to collect and process field data while gaining hands‑on experience in the surveying trade.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior surveyors in setting out, staking and data collection on construction sites.
• Operate and maintain modern surveying equipment under supervision.
• Perform manual tasks such as clearing, marking and transporting survey materials.
• Travel to multiple project locations and adhere to daily schedules (6:30 am‑5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday).
• Maintain accurate records and assist in preparing survey reports.

Required profile

• Experience in the civil construction industry is highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong desire to build a career in surveying.
• Enjoy working outdoors and physically fit for manual duties.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Valid car and manual driver’s licence.
