Small Business Specialist – Banking

About the role

ANZ is looking for a Small Business Specialist to join its Business & Private Bank division in Salisbury. The role focuses on delivering lending and working‑capital solutions to both new and existing small‑business customers, helping them grow and succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Meet a diverse range of business customers in the branch to understand their banking needs.
• Make outbound calls to existing clients to identify additional financing requirements.
• Collaborate with product partners and internal stakeholders to design appropriate lending and working‑capital solutions.
• Assess creditworthiness using both qualitative and quantitative factors (the 5 Cs of credit).
• Build relationships with the local community to generate commercial value.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external networks.
• Track record of meeting and exceeding performance targets.
• Understanding of small‑business operations, lending, transaction banking and working‑capital products.
• Familiarity with financial terminology and the ability to read profit‑and‑loss statements, balance sheets and cash‑flow statements.
