Site Electrical Engineer – Renewable Energy Project

About the role

We are seeking a Site Electrical Engineer to join a major renewable energy project in Bungendore, NSW. The role supports the delivery of utility‑scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety and project execution. Working Monday to Friday on 10‑hour days, you will be on‑site each day.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily on‑site electrical works across solar PV and battery storage systems.
• Prepare and manage work packs to support construction activities.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety requirements.
• Act as a key communication link between site teams and the project office.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in site‑based roles within solar and/or BESS projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITPs and work pack documentation.
• Good understanding of industry standards and safety compliance.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work on a project site.
• Full Australian working rights (citizen, permanent resident or valid visa).
