Service Technician – Wind Turbines (Australia)

About the role

Join Vestas, the global leader in sustainable energy, as a Service Technician supporting wind turbines across regional Australia. You will apply your knowledge of electricity, mechanics and hydraulics to keep turbines operating safely and efficiently while contributing to the renewable‑energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic service inspections and replace or troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components in line with Vestas specifications.
• Maintain turbine operation through condition monitoring, remote control and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Keep the service vehicle and warehouse stocked, ordering tools, materials and spare parts as needed.
• Assemble and service components using internal or external cranes, following current work instructions.
• Adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical or hydraulic disciplines with a desire to develop further.
• Good computer skills and experience handling tools or systems for work documentation.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to operate a service vehicle.
• Capability to climb turbines and perform physical work at height in varied weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to multiple regional sites and work collaboratively with field and business teams.
