Service Technician – Australia

About the role

As a Service Technician you will ensure the reliable operation of wind turbines across regional Australia. You will apply your electrical, mechanical and hydraulic expertise to perform maintenance, inspections and repairs, supporting Vestas’ mission to deliver sustainable energy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic service inspections and replace or troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components according to Vestas specifications.
• Maintain turbine operation using condition monitoring and remote control systems.
• Keep service vehicle and warehouse stocked by ordering materials, tools and spare parts.
• Assemble and service components, operating internal or external cranes when required.
• Adhere to the highest health, safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical or hydraulic disciplines.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to multiple regional sites.
• Ability to work at heights and in varied weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Electrical system knowledge.
• Mechanical system knowledge.
• Hydraulic system knowledge.
• Proficiency with computer tools for work monitoring and documentation.
• Experience operating cranes and handling service tools.
