Senior Tax Consultant

About the role

HNP is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its growing Corporate Tax practice. You will work on complex advisory engagements for private groups, mid‑market organisations and ASX‑listed companies, gaining deep technical expertise while delivering commercially focused tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering corporate tax advisory engagements across a diverse client portfolio.
• Conduct technical research and analyse complex tax issues.
• Prepare technical memoranda, tax calculations and written advice for review.
• Support clients in navigating corporate tax obligations and legislative changes.
• Collaborate with Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners on complex matters.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Contribute to thought‑leadership initiatives and technical publications.
• Mentor junior team members and help build strong technical capability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in corporate tax, business tax or tax advisory.
• Solid understanding of Australian corporate tax principles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn.
• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion).
• Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Law, Commerce or a related discipline.
