Senior Project Manager – Client‑Side (Alice Springs)

About the role

RPS is looking for an experienced client‑side Senior Project Manager to lead the Mutitjulu Essential Services and Renewables Project. Based in Alice Springs, you will rotate between on‑site work in the remote Indigenous township of Mutitjulu and office‑based planning, delivering critical infrastructure in a challenging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction contracts and contract administration for power distribution, sewer, water and renewable energy assets.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, and community representatives.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide clear reporting to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 10+ years recent construction project experience, preferably client‑side.
• 5+ years senior‑level project management experience.
• Professional qualification in project management, engineering, construction management or related field.
• Completed construction site health and safety course.
• AIPM Certified Practising Project Manager or equivalent is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using Microsoft Project (desirable).
• Civil engineering knowledge of power distribution, sewer, water infrastructure, solar installations and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
• Strong contract administration and construction contract management capabilities.
