Senior Pharmacist – Ambulatory Care

About the role

The Children’s Hospital Queensland (CHQ) is seeking a Senior Pharmacist to join its Ambulatory Care team. This role provides high‑level clinical pharmacy services to complex outpatient patients and supports the development of pharmacy practice across the service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services to ambulatory care patients in an outpatient dispensary setting.
• Provide day‑to‑day clinical supervision and mentorship to less‑experienced pharmacy practitioners.
• Participate actively in teaching, training, and professional development activities.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and departmental planning initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with extensive experience in ambulatory or outpatient pharmacy care.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor junior pharmacy staff.
• Strong commitment to teaching, service improvement, and collaborative teamwork.
