Senior Civil Engineer – Water Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally. The role offers technical ownership, client interaction, and the chance to work on complex, high‑impact projects within a supportive, flexible work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical designs for pipelines, pump stations, intakes and water retaining structures.
• Apply project management principles to meet programme, budget and quality targets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated outcomes.
• Provide technical input for bids, proposals and client presentations.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, client requirements and company quality expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in an engineering consultancy, focusing on water infrastructure design.
• Proven ability to deliver projects and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 12d and related design tools.
