Senior Architect

About the role

MODE is seeking a Senior Architect to join its Perth studio. The role involves leading multidisciplinary design teams on a variety of projects across Australia and New Zealand, delivering high‑quality architecture from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development, documentation and construction delivery for assigned projects.
• Mentor and supervise architects and junior staff to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets and program delivery.
• Engage with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with local, state and national planning regulations and construction codes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Architecture recognised in Australia and current architectural registration.
• Minimum 10 years of professional architectural experience.
• Strong understanding of planning legislation, building codes and sector‑specific requirements (e.g., defence, education, health, community).
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Extensive experience with BIM coordination and documentation.
