Security Response Analyst II (Insider Threat)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Security Response Analyst II focused on insider threat to join its Corporate Security team. The analyst will help protect the company’s data, networks and systems by detecting and responding to suspicious internal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alerts from DLP, UAM and UBA tools and triage potential insider‑threat incidents.
• Conduct in‑depth log analysis and investigate anomalous user behaviour.
• Document findings, create incident reports and update the case‑management system.
• Develop and implement counter‑measures against identified insider‑threat tactics, techniques and procedures.
• Maintain and enhance corporate security policies while balancing privacy and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with global security teams and stakeholders to improve insider‑threat processes and capabilities.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in security monitoring, incident response or related cybersecurity roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret security event data.
• Excellent written communication for reporting and stakeholder interaction.
