Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Incentives Offered)

About the role

Inverell District Hospital is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join its 24‑hour Emergency Department. You will deliver comprehensive care to critical and acute patients, working alongside a full‑time onsite doctor and a small, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely assessment, treatment and monitoring of emergency patients across all shifts.
• Collaborate with doctors and allied health professionals to ensure safe patient flow.
• Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in the hospital information system.
• Participate in after‑hours education sessions and continuous professional development activities.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care in a rural setting.
• Willingness to work rotating morning, evening and night shifts.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and engage in team‑based learning.

What we offer

• Hourly rate $36.39 – $51.09 plus 12% superannuation.
