Recruitment Officer

About the role

The Victoria Daly Regional Council is seeking a Recruitment Officer to manage end‑to‑end recruitment across its remote and regional communities. You will support the Stronger Starts recruitment model, ensuring culturally respectful candidate care and high‑quality hiring outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities for a variety of roles, from advertising to onboarding.
• Prepare job advertisements, interview guides and related documentation.
• Liaise with hiring managers, interview panels and community representatives.
• Manage candidate communications, interview scheduling and reference checks.
• Support onboarding, including pre‑employment checks and inductions.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and track progress in the system.
• Ensure all processes align with the Stronger Starts model and timelines.

Required profile

• Experience in recruitment coordination or a similar administrative role.
• Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to build effective relationships with managers, panel members and community stakeholders.
• Organised with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
