Quality Assurance Supervisor

About the role

The Quality Assurance Supervisor leads all QA activities within the manufacturing environment, ensuring products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and regulatory standards. This role supervises the Quality Officer, collaborates with production teams, and acts as the primary liaison for quality matters with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate daily tasks to the Quality Officer, ensuring staff competency in inspection methods and calibration.
• Conduct and oversee in‑process checks, first‑off inspections, and final product verification using calibrated equipment.
• Maintain the Quality Management System in line with AS/NZS ISO 9001, controlling SOPs, work instructions, and document revisions.
• Plan, schedule, and execute internal audits; support external audits and manage corrective actions.
• Lead investigations of non‑conformances, applying root‑cause analysis techniques and tracking CAPA.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement projects to reduce waste and increase first‑pass yield.
• Manage customer complaints and quality‑related communications, providing updates on investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records for traceability, including NCRs, inspection results, and calibration logs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a quality assurance role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 9001 standards and audit processes.
• Ability to lead a small QA team and coordinate with production and customers.
• Excellent analytical skills for root‑cause investigations and trend analysis.
