About the role

The Quality Assurance Advisor will lead the Annual Audit programme and perform a range of quality assurance and control activities across multiple sites. You will prepare reports, make recommendations, and support the Quality Assurance Manager in meeting all compliance requirements of the Business Management System.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Subcontractor and Internal Audit programmes at project and corporate levels.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and report on subcontractor and internal audits, managing findings and corrective actions.
  • Interact with subcontractors during maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with contractual and task requirements.
  • Perform supplier pre‑qualification audits and ongoing capability surveillance.
  • Provide advice and support to project teams on quality assurance matters, including document reviews and risk assessments.
  • Generate routine and ad‑hoc reports on audit performance, non‑conformances, customer complaints and accolades.
  • Close out corrective actions from clients, subcontractors or internal observations, ensuring adequate remedial action and objective quality evidence.

Required profile

  • Formal qualification in Quality Assurance with at least 5 years of relevant experience using ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Minimum 3 years auditing HSEQ internal and external management systems.
  • Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor Certificate for ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with classification society rules for naval ships or marine construction/sustainment.
  • High‑level computer skills (Microsoft Office, Visio, SharePoint) and strong data‑analysis capability.
  • Current motor‑vehicle driver’s licence and ability to meet Babcock fitness‑for‑work requirements.
