Project & Design Manager – Roads, Integrated Transport & Mobility

About the role

As a Project and Design Manager in Aurecon’s Roads, Integrated Transport and Mobility team, you will work from our Mackay office to deliver impactful infrastructure projects across Queensland. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, advise clients from concept through delivery, and help shape resilient, innovative transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex engineering projects from concept to delivery.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges.
• Deliver high‑quality advice that informs decision‑making.
• Contribute to resilient and innovative engineering solutions.
• Apply advanced analytics and optimisation to enhance project performance.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (BEng Civil, RPEQ).
• Experience managing multidisciplinary roads projects in Queensland.
• Desirable experience delivering TMR and regional transport infrastructure across planning, detailed design and construction phases.
• Proven ability to lead teams and build strong client relationships.
• Track record of delivering practical, impactful outcomes.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.
