Project Architect – Design Manager (Retail & Hospitality)

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Project Architect / Design Manager to join our Sydney‑based studio. The role focuses on documentation and technical delivery for high‑end retail, hospitality and premium airport lounge projects across Australia and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage documentation control and technical delivery for multiple projects.
• Coordinate with an offshore drafting team to produce detailed construction documents.
• Liaise with contractors and Australian compliance stakeholders.
• Ensure projects comply with the NCC and Australian Standards, including AS1428.
• Produce site‑specific construction documentation for ceilings, façade systems and other building elements.
• Assist in resolving complex technical and heritage constraints.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in architectural practice, preferably on Class 6 retail/hospitality projects.
• Strong technical and documentation expertise.
• Solid understanding of Australian codes, standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience coordinating remote teams and managing delivery workflows.
• Relevant degree in Architecture; Master’s and/or registration advantageous.
