Production Team Member

About the role

Join ASSA ABLOY’s Spence Doors team in Forest Glen, QLD, to help manufacture high‑quality timber and metal doors for commercial and residential projects. The role offers on‑the‑job training and a clear pathway to more advanced positions.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and adjust door components using hand and power tools.
• Operate machinery such as Beam Saws, CNC Routers, Edge Banders, Brake Presses, Turrets and Laser Cutters.
• Fit components accurately according to job orders and workshop drawings.
• Fabricate profiles with bending and cutting machines and identify material types.
• Meet hourly production targets and KPIs while conducting quality checks on your own work.
• Report defective goods, perform basic equipment maintenance and keep the work area clean and safe.

Required profile

• Experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment (factory, production, assembly or fabrication).
• Ability to read and use measuring tools such as tape measures, pressure gauges, levels and squares.
• Reliable team player who can also work independently.
• Commitment to safety and willingness to follow WHS guidelines and wear PPE.
