Product Technical Support Engineer – Grinding Mills

About the role

Metso is seeking a Product Technical Support Engineer to provide expert assistance for Horizontal Grinding Mill projects worldwide. The role focuses on hydraulic, lubrication and drive‑train systems, ensuring quality, efficiency and continuous improvement across project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain lubrication and drive‑train specifications for Horizontal Grinding Mill products.
• Provide technical expertise on hydraulic, lubrication and drive systems to project, sourcing and on‑site teams.
• Review technical deviations, manufacturing quality issues and component replacements.
• Participate in product development, engineering improvements and risk assessments.
• Support investigations into product failures and performance issues.
• Develop and maintain engineering tools, standards and documentation.
• Deliver technical training to internal teams, suppliers and customers.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to improve efficiency, quality and execution processes.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background in heavy‑industry or mining equipment environments.
• Experience with hydraulic, lubrication and heavy‑industry drive systems.
• Proven ability to work in collaborative, multi‑stakeholder project settings.
• Excellent communication, presentation and technical report writing skills.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving capabilities.
