About the role

Join a top‑100 public practice accounting firm on Brisbane's Southside as a Practice Manager. Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will lead the admin and finance teams, streamline workflows and help shape the day‑to‑day operations of a dynamic practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and refine internal systems, processes and workflows.
• Assist partners with strategic planning and growth initiatives.
• Oversee daily practice operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Coordinate and optimise administrative and office support activities.
• Track budgets, manage billing cycles, and review monthly financial reports.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional requirements.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, supplier relationships and office facilities.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and performance‑management processes.
• Lead and deliver key projects aligned with partner directives.

Required profile

• Previous management experience in a public‑practice accounting firm.
• Proven project‑management abilities and strong communication skills.
• Formal qualifications in finance or administration (highly regarded).
• Business acumen with the ability to understand accounting software.
