Pharmacist – Stirling Health Centre

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join the Stirling Health Centre on HMAS Stirling, providing pharmaceutical, medical and dental logistic services to Australian Defence Force personnel. The role involves dispensing medication, managing inventory and supporting clinical teams across a multi‑disciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines in accordance with Australian law and Defence policies.
• Maintain and control pharmacy inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and safe storage.
• Promote safe and effective medication use through patient counselling and education.
• Provide technical advice and training to health practitioners on medication handling and logistics.
• Collaborate with the Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit and other clinical services.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA.
• Minimum two years full‑time post‑internship experience in a Defence, hospital or community pharmacy within the last five years.
• Recent participation in CPD activities and current CPR (HLTAID009) certification.
• High personal integrity and professional ethics.
• Membership of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or Society of Hospital Pharmacists (desirable).
