Pharmacist Grade 1/2 – Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

The Auburn District Hospital Pharmacy Department is seeking a qualified Pharmacist Grade 1/2 to join its multidisciplinary team. You will deliver comprehensive pharmacy services across inpatient, outpatient and clinical settings, ensuring safe, effective and economical use of medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication review and patient counselling.
• Dispense and supervise medication distribution accurately and safely.
• Deliver drug information and education to patients and healthcare staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication management.
• Support and supervise pharmacy assistants, students and junior staff.

Required profile

• Full Pharmacy qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Pharmacy).
• Current, unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated therapeutic and clinical knowledge with strong time‑management skills.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
