Part-time Visual and Media Arts Teacher

About the role

ACC Hobart is looking for a part‑time Visual and Media Arts Teacher (0.4‑0.6 FTE) to start in Term 3, 2026. The role involves delivering the prescribed visual and media arts curriculum to K‑10 students in a Christian, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Christian formation and pastoral care for students, modelling a vibrant Christian faith.
• Plan and deliver visual and media arts lessons using an explicit instruction model where possible.
• Foster an inclusive, cross‑cultural classroom that encourages academic rigor and creative expression.
• Participate in staff meetings, extra‑curricular activities and parent liaison as required.
• Contribute to the development of teaching and learning programs in collaboration with colleagues.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor's degree in visual arts, media arts or a related field, with any additional teaching qualifications (e.g., Master of Education).
• Strong commitment to Christian values and the ability to integrate faith into teaching and pastoral care.
• Passion for creating a safe, supportive and holistic learning environment.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to engage with the school community.
