Nurse Clinical Coordinator – Continuous Quality Improvement Facilitator

About the role

The Department of Health is seeking a Nurse Clinical Coordinator to lead continuous quality improvement initiatives within the Safety and Quality Unit, focusing on population and primary health care. This senior nursing position provides professional advice on assessment, planning, review, evaluation, and coordination of client care in remote primary health settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on clinical assessment and care planning for remote primary health services.
• Lead quality improvement projects, monitoring outcomes and implementing evidence‑based changes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent client care across the defined practice area.
• Review and evaluate service delivery, identifying significant issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Support the Safety and Quality Unit in developing policies and standards for population health care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with Level 5 experience (senior level).
• Demonstrated experience in primary health care, especially in remote settings.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse health professionals.
