M&A Manager – Deals Advisory

About the role

McGrathNicol is seeking a Manager to join its Sydney M&A Advisory team. You will work on high‑profile transactions across multiple industries, partnering with owners, boards and investors to create strategic value.

Key responsibilities

• Execute M&A transactions end‑to‑end, from origination to completion.
• Lead financial, commercial and strategic analysis, including market studies, information memoranda and bidder assessments.
• Maintain and develop relationships with shareholders, boards, senior executives and advisors.
• Apply valuation and financial modelling techniques such as DCF and comparable analysis.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, consulting or corporate development.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams on complex deals.
• Strong analytical capability combined with commercial judgement.
• Motivation for advisory‑led M&A and delivering client impact.
