Kitchen Hand – Beachfront Restaurant

About the role

Join the vibrant team at Valentina, the beachfront restaurant within Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise. As a Kitchen Hand you will play a crucial part in keeping the kitchen spotless and supporting the culinary brigade to deliver memorable dining experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers and manual methods.
• Remove rubbish, sweep and mop kitchen floors, and follow proper chemical sequencing for disinfection.
• Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks such as grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes and seasonings.
• Maintain strict hygiene standards throughout all kitchen areas.

Required profile

• Practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus.
• Enthusiastic "can‑do" attitude with a positive, motivated demeanor.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, fast‑paced team environment.
• Flexible availability for mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Commercial dishwasher operation.
• Basic food preparation techniques (grating, peeling, chopping).
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning and sanitation procedures.
