About the role

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to lead and expand our liquid and hazardous waste business across the Perth metropolitan area. The role combines account management with commercial business development, focusing on large contracts and project‑based work.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with major accounts in the liquid and hazardous waste sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, particularly project‑based contracts.
  • Conduct market research, develop targeted sales strategies and close new deals.
  • Negotiate contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Liaise with operations, treatment plants and logistics to guarantee seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, regulations and best practices.
  • Provide regular reports on account performance and sales activities to management.

Required profile

  • Proven sales experience (project‑based work preferred but not essential).
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across the Perth metro area.
  • Commitment to a career in waste management and to Veolia’s AlwaysSafe culture, including pre‑employment medical, drug/alcohol screening and a national police clearance.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce advantageous).
