About the role

Angela Sdrinis Legal is seeking a motivated Junior Legal Assistant to join its Institutional Abuse team in Melbourne. This entry‑level position provides essential administrative and file support to solicitors and senior legal assistants, helping the firm deliver compassionate services to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review and summarise client records for case preparation.
• Manage case files, including opening new files and closing completed ones.
• Draft simple correspondence and file notes.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and diary management.
• Provide general administrative support across the team.
• Liaise with clients, courts, and third parties as required.

Required profile

• Previous administrative or legal admin experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective time‑management and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional and empathetic when dealing with sensitive matters.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
