IT Field and Support Technician

About the role

Join a team that provides essential technology services to remote Indigenous communities, retail stores, and corporate offices across Northern Australia. You will travel to isolated locations to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of IT equipment, ensuring reliable operations for end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Install and maintain POS systems, CCTV cameras, NVRs and networking hardware.
• Support desktop and laptop computers, including software configuration and updates.
• Perform basic network tasks such as port testing, cable re‑termination and wireless access point diagnostics.
• Assist the Help Desk using ITIL‑aligned incident and asset management processes when not on site.
• Maintain accurate hardware records and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
• Provide clear, customer‑focused communication to non‑technical users.
• Travel by light aircraft and 4WD to remote sites for installations and repairs.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with computer hardware, software and troubleshooting.
• Previous work in a Service Desk or Helpdesk environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote locations.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency and a valid driver’s licence.
