About the role
Danford College is seeking a full‑time ICT Support & Test Engineer to maintain system access, troubleshoot user issues and test system functions across its campuses. The role ensures that digital education platforms operate reliably and supports integration of new technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Work with operational teams to ensure compliance with internal standards, procedures and quality requirements.
- Review workflows, system outputs and documentation to identify inconsistencies, risks and non‑compliance.
- Liaise with staff and management to communicate procedures and clarify requirements.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical support for desktops, printers, email, internet connectivity and business applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, installation, configuration and performance issues.
- Test systems and applications to identify errors, ensure correct functionality and meet operational requirements.
- Support users with guidance and basic training on software tools and operational procedures.
- Contribute to reviewing existing systems and suggest improvements for performance and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain technical and operational documentation, including user guides and system records.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience supporting ICT systems in an education or multi‑user environment.
- At least 3 years' experience troubleshooting LMS, SMS, student portals, Microsoft 365, classroom technology and network‑related issues.
- Minimum 2 years' experience conducting system testing, user acceptance testing, defect logging and post‑implementation checks.
- Minimum 2 years' experience documenting ICT incidents, technical procedures, test results and root‑cause findings.
- Strong knowledge of learning management systems, student management systems and online assessment platforms.
- Understanding of data privacy, user permission control and access management in an education setting.
- Ability to communicate technical problems clearly to non‑technical users.
- Experience liaising with software vendors and escalating issues with appropriate evidence.
