About the role
The Human Resources Coordinator will support the New Colombo Plan Program Support Unit (PSU) in delivering high‑quality HR and recruitment services for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Based in Adelaide on a one‑year fixed‑term contract, you will work closely with the Senior Coordinator, Operations, in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day HR services across the PSU, answering queries and guiding staff on policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and liaise with payroll and corporate teams.
- Coordinate HR processes such as performance reviews, salary adjustments, and compensation.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: advertise positions, shortlist candidates, arrange interviews, conduct due‑diligence checks, and prepare contracts.
- Support hiring managers throughout the hiring process and facilitate onboarding for new hires.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to grants administration, MEL, alumni engagement, communications, and events.
Required profile
- Experience in HR coordination and recruitment support.
- Familiarity with HR policies, employee record‑keeping, and payroll liaison.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior staff and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
