Health & Safety Coordinator

About the role

The Health & Safety Coordinator will join a fast‑growing engineering organisation delivering large‑scale projects across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with an experienced H&S Manager, you will receive structured mentoring while supporting safety coordination on both office operations and multiple project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Support new greenfield and brownfield projects, collaborating with on‑site engineering and technical teams.
• Conduct site visits, inspections and safety reviews across VIC, NSW, QLD, SA, WA and NZ.
• Assist in preparing risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), toolbox talks and other safety documentation.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers to ensure compliance with best practice.
• Support environmental and social initiatives and contribute to ISO audit preparation and reporting.
• Promote a practical, solutions‑focused safety culture on site and in the office.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a health & safety role, preferably on‑site in construction, logistics or manufacturing.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with a solid understanding of Australian WHS legislation.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally.
