Head of Finance

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Corporate Services Officer, the Head of Finance will oversee all financial operations of SwanCare, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and delivering accurate financial reporting. This senior leadership position provides strategic insight to support effective planning, monitoring and reporting of the organisation’s financial resources.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Finance team, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, board reports and annual statements.
• Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts in partnership with senior management.
• Oversee Refundable Accommodation Deposits (RADs) processes to ensure compliance with prudential standards.
• Produce quarterly financial reports, benchmarking analyses and the annual Aged Care Financial Report.
• Manage external audit engagements and establish a robust internal audit framework.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance teams in a complex organisational setting.
• Strong analytical abilities with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated capability to provide strategic financial insight to senior leadership.
