Head of Commercial

About the role

Millennium Services Group is seeking a Head of Commercial to lead its business development across cleaning, security, office services and integrated facilities solutions. This newly created senior role will shape the go‑to‑market strategy, strengthen client relationships and drive the next phase of growth for one of Australia and New Zealand’s leading service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all business development activities across multiple service lines.
• Set commercial targets, pipelines and growth priorities in partnership with the executive team and CEO.
• Drive new business origination and manage the full sales cycle from prospect to contract execution.
• Represent the organisation at industry events, client forums and tender presentations.
• Own the integrated tender lifecycle from qualification through submission and mobilisation.
• Implement and embed CRM discipline across the business development team.
• Develop bid frameworks, win themes, pricing governance and submission standards.
• Maintain a live pipeline with regular reporting to senior leadership.
• Act as senior relationship owner for strategic clients and key accounts.
• Partner with operations and state heads to ensure commercial and delivery alignment.
• Coordinate marketing and communications to support brand positioning.

Required profile

• Proven leadership capability with experience inspiring and aligning commercial and BD teams.
• Integrated tender cycle experience from qualification through award.
• Credibility in the facilities management, cleaning, security or property services market.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at senior and executive level.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Financial literacy and ability to work with pricing and budgeting.
