Geotechnical Engineer (Underground Mining)

About the role

Kingston Resources Ltd is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support the development of the Mineral Hill Mine in Condobolin, NSW. Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will provide technical expertise to ensure ground stability, safety and production efficiency in underground operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement ground control and monitoring programmes for underground mining.
• Review development plans, stope and drill designs, and document inspections, core logging and mapping.
• Perform geotechnical monitoring, stability analyses, and provide design recommendations and QA/QC.
• Identify and mitigate geotechnical risks across short‑, medium‑ and long‑term projects.
• Advise site teams on risk mitigation and collaborate with engineers, geologists and mine planners.
• Communicate geotechnical issues to the workforce and management proactively.
• Collect and analyse geotechnical data to support future mining recommendations.
• Back‑analyse mining performance to optimise mine design and planning.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in geotechnical engineering within underground mining environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and environmental best practices.
