General Worker – Construction & Plant Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a reliable General Worker to support daily operations at our construction site in Rawsonville. The role involves assisting with plant inspections, routine cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily pre‑start inspection checks on plant and equipment.
• Keep plant and surrounding areas clean and tidy, including screen cleaning.
• Assist with general maintenance and minor repairs on and around the plant.
• Support manual labour tasks and screen changes as directed.
• Report any elementary problems to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) rules and site regulations.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by management when required.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• Literacy and functional numeracy.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work under pressure.
• Self‑disciplined, able to work without direct supervision and as part of a team.
• Good hearing and vision to recognise alarms and site sounds.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including night shifts.
• Medical fitness in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of machinery operation.
