Financial Accountant – Sydney

About the role

Blueberry is seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join its Financial Reporting team in Sydney. You will support daily financial operations, regulatory reporting and month‑end processes within a fast‑paced fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly client money reconciliations and meet regulatory reporting requirements.
• Assist with P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, providing analysis and commentary.
• Prepare monthly management reports and finance summaries.
• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable, receivable and journal entries, ensuring audit‑ready documentation.
• Support month‑end close activities and external audit preparation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 1‑3 years of accounting experience or relevant internship exposure.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑moving environment.
