About the role
The Finance Manager will operate within the Command, Control, Communications and Computer Project Office (C4PO) embedded in the Program Management Office (PgMO). Reporting to the Branch Executive Team, the role provides financial strategy, cost control and day‑to‑day financial management for complex defence programmes, supporting acquisition and sustainment activities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategy and cost‑control measures across the Branch.
- Provide specialist financial advice and program‑control activities to senior decision‑makers.
- Integrate financial management across acquisition, sustainment and delivery teams.
- Generate financial reports, assess project financial status and process transactions using FMIS.
- Analyse cost data, validate estimates and identify financial risks.
- Support government submissions and maintain program‑level governance.
Required profile
- Proven experience in finance or cost‑management roles on complex defence projects.
- Strong stakeholder‑relationship skills and ability to communicate with influence.
- Demonstrated capability to analyse financial data and provide strategic advice to senior leaders.
- Experience in cost estimation, cost analysis and cost validation.
- Problem‑solving ability with an understanding of technical and operational requirements.
