About the role
The Executive Officer provides high‑level administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Director and the principals of the Darwin region. This position ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations within the Education Darwin work unit, acting as a key liaison between senior leadership and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage complex calendars, arrange meetings and coordinate travel for senior leaders.
- Prepare, edit and distribute correspondence, reports and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems and confidential files.
- Facilitate communication between the Senior Director, regional principals and external stakeholders.
- Support project administration, including tracking deadlines and follow‑up actions.
- Assist with the organization of events, workshops and training sessions.
Required profile
- Relevant experience at Administrative Officer Level 7 or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
