Emergency Communications Officer – Williams Landing

About the role

Emergency Communications Officers receive and process all emergency (000) and non‑emergency calls for police, fire, ambulance and State Emergency Service in Victoria. You will guide callers through critical situations, ensure accurate information is captured and coordinate dispatch to the appropriate service.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and triage 000 and non‑emergency calls from the public and partner agencies.
• Maintain composure and provide clear instructions to callers in distress.
• Accurately record call details and initiate dispatch of police, fire, ambulance or VICSES.
• Follow established protocols and use call‑handling systems to log and track incidents.
• Collaborate with team leaders and colleagues, adhering to roster schedules (full‑time rotating, full‑time set or part‑time set).
