Early Childhood Centre Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Early Childhood Centre (ECC) Assistant to support lunch supervision for our three‑ and four‑year‑old programmes at the Minimbah Campus on the Mornington Peninsula. The role starts as soon as possible and offers a flexible schedule across Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers and the Director of Early Childhood in delivering the centre’s Reggio Emilia‑inspired programme.
• Supervise and support children during lunch periods.
• Help implement play‑based, child‑led inquiry and nature‑pedagogy activities.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and child‑focused environment.

Required profile

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education (or relevant Certificate III).
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification.
• Experience working with young children in a classroom or care setting.
• Understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework and the IB Primary Years Programme.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient ICT skills for record‑keeping and communication.
