Dump Truck Trainee Operator – Entry Level Mining Role

About the role

WorkPac is offering a two-year Dump Truck Traineeship with a permanent position at an open-cut coal mine near Singleton. The role follows a rotating lifestyle roster (5/4 – 4/5) and includes both day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks safely in a coal production environment.
• Work 12.5-hour shifts on a 5/4 – 4/5 rotating roster, including weekends.
• Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to coal extraction.

Required profile

• Strong work history with contactable references.
• Full C Class driver’s licence and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Residence within a one-hour drive of the mine site.
• Ability to complete an Order 45 medical and pass drug and alcohol testing.
