Designer, Water & Wastewater

About the role

We are seeking a Water & Wastewater Designer to join Colliers Engineering & Design’s Brisbane team. The role will involve designing large‑scale water and wastewater infrastructure for high‑profile land development and utility projects across Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for water and wastewater networks on greenfield and brownfield developments.
• Support delivery of major infrastructure upgrades for councils and utility providers, including sewer and water mains (DN375+), reservoirs, and pump stations.
• Produce modelling, documentation and design packages that meet Australian Standards, WSAA codes and authority requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, technical specialists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment and quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in water and wastewater design within land development or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, WSAA codes and council/utility specifications.
• Effective communicator who works well in a collaborative team environment.
• Proactive, solution‑focused and committed to sustainable, future‑ready infrastructure.
