About the role

The University of Adelaide is seeking a visionary Dean to lead its School of Management. This senior academic position will shape the school’s strategic direction, strengthen industry partnerships, and enhance its reputation for research and teaching excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for a school of over 100 staff and 3,500 students.
• Develop and implement a shared mission, strategy, and long‑term plan.
• Foster collaboration with business, government, and community stakeholders.
• Oversee resource allocation, academic performance, and operational management.
• Promote high‑impact research across themes such as organisational productivity, sustainability, digital business, and entrepreneurship.

Required profile

• Established academic leader with a strong record of research and teaching.
• Proven experience managing complex organisations and engaging with industry and government.
• Demonstrated ability to attract external funding and build strategic partnerships.
