About the role

Mercor is seeking a remote Cyber Security Analyst to help identify and classify security vulnerabilities in AI-driven content. This contract position offers flexible hours and the chance to work with a team of top‑tier experts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and review AI‑generated content for security weaknesses, focusing on pattern recognition and classification.
• Apply systems‑programming knowledge to improve AI model threat detection and reasoning.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of specialists.
• Design, solve, and review complex, real‑world security problems.
• Maintain independent work cadence to meet project milestones.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional programming experience in C, C++ or Java.
• Familiarity with vulnerability classification frameworks such as OWASP or CVE.
• Solid understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, web security, and common attack vectors.
• Strong attention to detail and pattern‑recognition abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Residency in the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand.
• Ability to pass an enhanced background check.
