Compliance Trainee – Australia

About the role

Natixis CIB is seeking a motivated Compliance Trainee to join its Australian team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance Australia and the Senior Country Manager/CEO, you will help maintain a robust local compliance programme and support business units on regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day compliance processes, policies and procedures to ensure adherence to local laws and internal standards.
• Provide advice and support to business and operational teams on regulatory, transactional and reputation risk queries.
• Promote a culture of compliance across the organisation in collaboration with staff.
• Interpret, assess and implement new regulations together with regional APAC compliance teams.
• Coordinate with the global compliance team to align local activities with the bank’s overall compliance framework.
• Contribute to the annual Risk Control Self‑Assessment and execute second‑line controls identified in the Compliance Risk Assessment.
• Analyze existing control frameworks, identify weaknesses and track corrective action plans.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of key APAC regulators, compliance policies and emerging regulatory developments.
