Commercial Manager – Western Region Operations

About the role

Freo Group is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the Western Region operations across multiple sites and projects. You will act as the commercial bridge between Operations and Finance, ensuring pricing discipline, contract compliance and risk mitigation while supporting the delivery of high‑value mining, resources and infrastructure contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial oversight for regional performance, including pricing governance and contract discipline.
• Identify margin opportunities, revenue leakage and cost‑recovery gaps and translate findings into actionable plans.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial outcomes and embed commercial best practices.
• Manage commercial risk, conduct financial modelling and support pricing decisions.
• Influence senior stakeholders and challenge decisions when necessary to protect commercial interests.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years of experience in commercial, finance or operational roles within a multi‑site, contract‑based service environment.
• Proven ability to work across branches, depots and multiple projects, especially in mining, transport or logistics.
• Strong commercial judgement with a track record of revenue optimisation and cost control.
• Comfortable influencing senior leaders and driving commercial capability across the business.
