Commercial Director – Lead Sales, Marketing & Growth

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Director to lead sales, marketing and growth strategy for a market‑leading equine tech platform that operates online auctions across Australia and internationally. This senior position will shape commercial direction, drive new business opportunities and strengthen key account relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop an Inside Sales team and an expanding Field‑Based Sales team.
• Manage After‑Sales Representatives and two Marketing Coordinators.
• Define and execute the commercial strategy, identifying growth opportunities and new service offerings.
• Generate new business pipelines and nurture relationships with strategic accounts.
• Provide clear briefs, deadlines and direction to the Marketing team.

Required profile

• Proven track record leading and managing B2B sales teams in a KPI‑driven environment.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing high‑performing sales representatives both inside and on the road.
• Strong strategic sales capability with a focus on revenue growth.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse industry stakeholders.
• Confidence managing key accounts and delivering revenue outcomes.
