Clinical Nurse Consultant – Dermatology (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the specialised Dermatology service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The role focuses on supporting patients receiving biologic therapies and those living with porphyria, providing expert clinical leadership and coordination across outpatient clinics, specialised treatments and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate care for patients on biologic therapies and specialised dermatology treatments.
• Support acute and chronic porphyria patients within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide patient education and clinical advice on treatment options.
• Liaise with clinicians, community providers and patient support organisations to optimise care pathways.
• Assist with infusion therapy administration and contribute to research and clinical data management.

Required profile

• Significant clinical nursing experience, preferably in rare diseases, haematology, metabolic disorders or specialist outpatient services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
